School of Dance

The Cheboygan Area Arts Council has been conducting Dance Classes at The Opera House since 1986, under the direction of Judith Reichlin. Miss Judith gives instruction in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and modern dance. As many as 50 of her current students have taken more than one dance class per session during the season.


Ballet	Character

Three ten-week sessions are held during each academic year, beginning the second week of September. Classes are held Tuesdays through Thursdays beginning at 4:00pm and running until approximately 9:00pm. Class size is limited to twelve students. Dance classes are billed at $6.00 per hour or $60.00 per ten-week session. Parents may pre-register their children anytime during June, July and August by calling the Arts Council office at 627-5432.


Jazz	Ballet

It is the goal of both the Cheboygan Area Arts Council to provide high quality instruction and promote appreciation for the art of dance by creating an atmosphere of discipline while guiding young people into the world of dance and all its opportunities.
