The Cheboygan Area Arts Council provides a number of services throughout Cheboygan County and the Greater Northern Michigan Area. They Include:

  • Concert Series: high quality performances by outstanding professional artists from all over theworld
  • Opera House Management: the Arts Council manages all aspects of operations of The Opera House
  • Classes: Dance and Visual Arts: run concurrently with School Year, September through May
  • Arts-In-Education: includes Youth Arts Festival, Youth Art Show, Access to Arts (Elementary), Youth Theatre Series, Missoula Children's Theatre, Summer Music Camp Scholarships
  • Arts Festival: held at the Cheboygan Ice Pavilion on the second Saturday of July each summer. This festival showcases artists from all over the Midwest, and is an adjudicated show offering cash prizes in both fine arts and high quality crafts. Purchase Prizes available.
  • Grants: The Arts Council administers a Mini-Grant Program which distributes funds up to $4,000 for arts-related programs throughout a Seven-County area on behalf of the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

Memberships support quality arts programming to all residents and visitors of Northern Michigan. Memberships are vital in order to maintain a high standard of programs, performances, youth activities and special events. Memberships run for a one-year period, beginning October 1, and are renewable before September 30th.

  • Benefactor: $2,000 and Above
  • Guarantor: $1,000 to $1,999
  • Sponsor: $400 to $999
  • Patron: $200 to $399
  • Sustaining: $75 to $199
  • Supporting: $25 to $74
  • Student: $15
  • Business Honor Roll: $200 and Above

Contributions to The Cheboygan Area Arts are Tax Deductible to the Extent Provided by Law

  3. Discount on ticket prices for individual concerts sponsored by CAAC
  4. Eligibility to serve on Arts Council's Board of Directors

  6. 10% Discount of purchase from showcase for donation of $50 and above
  7. Business Honor Roll Names listed in Newsletters fordonation of $200 and above
  8. One complimentary set of Concert Series Tickets for donation of $400 and above*
  9. Two complimentary sets of Concert Series Tickets for donation of $1,000 and above*
  10. Listing as Underwriter of performance of choice for donation of $2,000 and above
